Where is TRUTH?

Paper Soul aims to expound on this matter further in its upcoming sixth anniversary show entitled: SO, ‘ETO NA NGA… on November 18, 2023, at Casa Tigre Kantina, Angeles City.

Derived from the commencing phrase when people are about to tell a story, gossip, or “pour the tea” as they call it among friends and confidants, SO, ‘ETO NA NGA… is not just about what truth is and what is not. “Rather, it’s a reflection that in our decisions and experiences, we are either revealing what is true or directly/indirectly burying it too deep that we come to normalize deceit and lies and actually begin to accept them as realities in our personal life and by extension to the whole society,” Paper Soul said.

The Pampanga-based literary performance art group plans to shed these points with stories weaved through spoken word poetry and music.

Performers include Lindsay Abogado, Niño Joseph Aloba, Rhenzell Valdez, Joshua Isais, Jade Harold Delos Santos, Jessa Lacap, Ge Baladhay, Arlin Salonga, Ashley Danan, Miguel Manzano, Gerald Chu, Dap Francisco, Perdiyo, Luis Gabriel Gomez (LUMI and the Butterflies), Shane Lumanog, and Venz.

Also joining the lineup are Kapampangan artists Calvin Concepcion and the Timáua Experience, Kapampangan rap group Ess-ay Collective, Brian C, Dos Islas as well as artists from LAYA PH: Lance Abellon, Sinaw, and Red Feria.

Renowned spoken word artists Maimai Cantillano, Jonel Revistual; award-winning poet and author Paolo Tiausas, and RUMAIN band will also grace the event as guest performers.
