PICPA AC

ESTABLISHED in 1989, the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Angeles City Chapter is celebrating its Annual Accountancy Week with the theme “TRANSFORM: Embracing Possibilities, Realizing Potentials” on July 11 to July 17, 2021. The weeklong festivities include online quiz bowls for students in Accountancy nationwide and a series of webinars with relevant topics on the aforementioned profession.

Since its founding, the Chapter has conformed to the commitment of the institution to actively partner in nation-building by providing financial reports on the operation and conditions of various local companies, which are the bases for the nation’s economic decisions, and its enhancement of financial competitiveness.

PICPA Angeles City Chapter was founded on the basis of a significant number of CPAs in the area. In addition, the geographical proximity, working rapport, personal familiarity, and close relationships of the CPAs in the city fueled a group of Angeleños CPAs to push for the creation of an Angeles Chapter independent from the larger Pampanga Chapter.

With the dedication and determination of Mr. Edilberto L. Sanchez, Mr. Crisostomo D. Dizon, Mr. Pablito P. Feliciano Jr., and Mr. Gil L. Santos, the Chapter gained support not only from the CPAs in Angeles City but also members of PICPA nationwide— paving the way for it to be founded as another PICPA regional chapter with Sanchez being elected and inducted as the organization’s first President.

Since its founding year, the Angeles City Chapter has been consistently recognized as an outstanding chapter. For this reason, Angeles City Chapter was conferred the Hall of Fame title by PICPA in 2017.

PICPA is a non-stock, non-profit organization duly recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as the Accredited Integrated Professional Organization of the Philippines.

Its mission is to serve the best interest of the members and the stakeholders while promoting, upholding, and maintaining high standards in the accountancy profession and protecting public interest. With this mission, it envisions itself as a responsive and globally relevant professional organization committed to service excellence towards its members and stakeholders in the many years to come.

In this year’s celebration of Accountancy Week, the Angeles City Chapter is hopeful to respond to the challenges amid the global health crisis. In response to the economic challenges posed by the pandemic, the Chapter is also very keen to provide business solutions and corporate strategies.

PICPA Angeles City Chapter is now led by its President Ms. Julyn Nyril P. Tiatco-Santos.
